POINSETTIA MEMORIALS DUE DECEMBER 19
Each year at Christmas, the church is beautifully decorated with poinsettias. If you would like to contribute a poinsettia, either in memory or in honor of a loved one, please submit payment by Wed., Dec. 19 to be included in the Christmas Eve bulletin. ADULT CHRISTIAN FORMATION
Sundays from 9:15-10:15 in McAllister Hall
"Icons" led by James Dennis - Christian art has developed in many unique ways. Icons, however, occupy a unique place in the Christian tradition, carrying a rich history and bringing a whole theological understanding with them. In this class, we'll examine their history, their spread across cultures, the thought and world view behind them, and their particular importance during the Holy Season of Advent. Sunday mornings from 9:15-10:15 in McAllister Hall B.
CHILDREN'S CHRISTIAN FORMATION
During the 10:30 service, children ages 4 years - 5th grade follow the cross during the 10:30 service for Godly Play (4 years - 2nd grade) and Children's Chapel (3rd-5th grades). Children return to the sanctuary at The Peace. On the second Sunday of every month children ages 4 years - 5th grade attend Joyful Noise Children's Praise and Worship Service.
DEC 9: ST. NICHOLAS SUNDAY, KIDS ON A MISSION, JOYFUL NOISE
Kids of all ages are invited to make Christmas food bags for Good Samaritan Community Services. Please bring reusable grocery bags and boxed brownie, cookie and cake mixes (uncooked). Joyful Noise Children’s Praise and Worship will follow and children will receive a special treat from St. Nicholas during the 10:30 service.
DEC. 15 & 16: CHRISTMAS PAGEANT, HANGING OF THE GREENS
All are invited to participate in our annual Christmas pageant. Rehearsal is Saturday, Dec. 15 from 10-11 a.m. On Sunday, Dec. 16 the Christmas pageant will be held during the 10:30 service. Following the 10:30 service, all are welcome to stay for “Hanging of the Greens.” A light lunch will be served.
Junior High Youth Christmas Party is Sunday, Dec. 16 from 4:30-6:00 p.m.
Senior High Youth Christmas Party is Monday, Dec. 17 from 7:30-9:00 p.m.

2018 GOOD SAMARITAN CENTER CHRISTMAS BAGS
Thank you for supporting Good Sam in their efforts to help make Christmas special for those in our community. With your help, they can supply more than 600 families the items they need to gather and celebrate the holidays as a family with a wonderful home-cooked meal. Below is the list of items needed to complete one meal bag per family:
2 cans of green beans
2 cans of corn
1 can of sweet potato
1 box of mashed potato
1 box of stuffing
1 jar/pkg of gravy
1 can of cranberries
1 boxed dessert mix
1 pkg of Christmas napkins
1 pkg of Christmas plates
1 pkg of utensils
Please place food items in a reusable grocery bag and drop off in the church office by Wednesday, Dec. 12th.
