| The St. David’s music program is blessed with musicians who share their talents to help make Sunday worship a meaningful experience for our congregation. Mr. Donald Sebesta is organist and choir director. Jim and Maggie Fox are staff instrumentalists. Mrs. Fox is an accomplished guitarist; Mr. Fox plays over a dozen instruments, usually accompanying choral and congregational music on violin or guitar. Guitarist Clay McGaughy and flutist Jennie Winkle regularly assist at the 10:30 Sunday Worship Service.
Occasionally, we employ the talents of other instrumentalists such as choir members Jim Kirkpatrick, trombone and baritone horn, Steve Markelz, clarinet and David Lucke, saxophone. There is a brass quartet for our yearly Christmas and Easter services.
Our rendition of When the Saints Go Marching In has become an All Saints' Day tradition here at St. David's. This year we were privileged to have a jazz ensemble featuring Jim Kirkpatrick (string bass), David Lucke (saxophone), Malcolm Myler (harmonica), Jennie Winkle (flute), Clay McGaughy (guitar), Jim Fox (fiddle--what can I say? We're cutting edge), and Karen Sebesta (piano). We foresee a jazz mass in our future!
