The Daughters of the King is a Religious Order of Service and Prayer. The Rule of Prayer is followed daily by the Prayer Chain, which consists of members who pray for those in sorrow, need, sickness, trouble or any other adversity. We follow our Rule of Service in many ways. We assist the parish by delivering altar flowers to the sick and shut-ins. We serve coffee, lemonade and tea after the 10:30 service on Sundays, as well as assisting with receptions for the Bishop's visits. The Daughters help with funeral receptions offering either cookies or cake, coffee, tea and punch or helping to serve a hot meal for the family.
The DOK makes donations to the National DOK Master's Fund, a scholarship for those studying for service in the church; an Endowment Fund which furthers the work of the Order in the extension of Christ's kingdom; and a Self-Denial Fund to support the work of missionaries.
We invite to membership any woman who is willing to dedicate herself to a program of prayer, service and evangelism to strengthen her own spiritual life as well as that of her parish. We also invite you to attend our meetings on the 4th Thursday of the month at 10:00 a.m. For additional information please contact our Chapter President, Barbara Stone.
