Serving in the World
Read St. David's Annual Report with descriptions of our ministries.
African Jewelry Sales
Each year we sell jewelry and other handcarved items from the African Team Ministries, Inc. to support the work of that ministry in Africa.   The jewelry sales have taken place for over 10 years.
Bread for the World
Seeking Justice, Ending Hunger.
For nearly three decades, Bread for the World has worked with churches of every denomination to encourage Christians to communicate their concerns and their hopes to members of Congress. Each year St. David’s holds an “Offering of Letters” campaign. In 2006 St. David’s participated in the STAND UP campaign that included hundreds of us standing up in prayer on the same day as 23,542,614 other people at 11,600 events world-wide. STAND UP against poverty is part of the ONE Campaign and teaches about the U.N. Millennium Development Goals (MDG).

Central American Children’s Ministry
With generous, ongoing support from the St. David’s community, a group of adults and teens with ties to St. David’s travel to Siguatepeque, Honduras each June to reconnect with children at a little daycare, at an orphanage, at a one-room school in the mountains, and at Sunday School at Iglesia San Juan Apostol. We distribute a variety of items, including school supplies and notebooks, the bulk of which are given to a local member of the Education Ministry for distribution where needed. In addition, we bring “Mommy Kits” for new mothers and their babies born at the new Birthing Center. A small cadre of missionaries traveled to Comalapa, Guatemala in February to bring jackets, sweaters and school supplies to children in the barrios. The face of the mission is a friend of the Mux family from Comalapa, a former prisoner of the military, miraculously freed during the Guerrilla War, who has devoted his life to feeding and clothing his neighbors. Our group has also provided wheelchairs to people (some of whom have never been ambulatory), walkers for the elderly and much needed eyeglasses. In addition, several sewing machines have been sent to the community where a woman is teaching others how to make clothing. The Ministry will be going to Honduras again in 2011.
