YOUTH MINISTRY

St. David's youth ministry is a place where young people in grades 3 through 12 are welcomed, known, and challenged to grow in their faith. We offer programming at every stage of the journey, from elementary school through high school, in a community that takes both fun and faith seriously.

Our Gap Group (grades 3–5) gathers monthly for lunch, activities, and conversation in the Youth Loft. Our Junior High Youth Group (grades 6–8) meets twice a month on Sunday afternoons, and our Senior High Youth Group (grades 9–12) gathers Monday evenings throughout the school year, beginning with an optional dinner out together before heading to the Youth Loft.

We also offer Confirmation for students in 7th grade and up, as well as an adult Confirmation class. Since we traditionally baptize infants, Confirmation is a meaningful opportunity for young adults and adults to claim their faith and officially join the church. The only prerequisite is baptism. We also

warmly welcome Reception for those confirmed in another denomination and Reaffirmation for those wishing to publicly renew their commitment to the faith.

2026 MISSION TRIP

This summer, 17 youth and adults from St. David’s will travel to western New

York to serve alongside two communities in need. In North Collins, our

team will help replace a church floor damaged by a burst pipe. In Irving, we’ll work to create 50 of the 180 grave markers needed for unmarked graves on Seneca Nation land, helping restore dignity and remembrance to those who have been forgotten.

If you'd like to help send our team on this meaningful mission of service and compassion, you can make a gift online HERE.

HAPPENING #163 - AUGUST 7-9, 2026

Calling all rising sophomores through graduating seniors! Happening is a

powerful, student-led spiritual renewal weekend sponsored by the Diocese of West Texas. For many teens, it becomes one of the most meaningful and transformative experiences of their faith journey.

Happening #163 will be held August 7–9 at Christ Episcopal Church in San Antonio and will likely be the only Happening in San Antonio this school year. Father Brian and Mary Hayden will both be there, and one of the weekend's student leaders is a member of our own youth group!

We would love to see a strong St. David's presence. Scholarships are available if needed. Please reach out to Mary Hayden with any questions. Register today HERE!
