“Worship the Lord in the Beauty of Holiness” (Psalm 96:9)
Beauty in all its forms—visual arts, a thoughtful sermon, and music (to name just a few)—helps us to see God in a more profound way.
St. David’s music program features three choirs that strive to enrich our worship services: the adult choir sings weekly at the 10:30 service, while the children’s choir (4 years-5th grade boys and girls) and treble choir (5th-12th grade girls) sing regularly throughout the year. On Wednesday evenings the treble choir rehearses from 6-7, and the adult choir rehearses from 7-8. The children’s choir meets every Sunday morning at 9:15 at the beginning of children’s formation. All children who attend the formation hour become members of the children’s choir. If you are interested in joining one of the other choirs, or if you would like more information about the music program, please contact Ben Carlisle, Director of Music.
Our newly renovated nave is a beautiful space, and we’re excited to be able to share that space with the wider community. Starting in the fall, if you’re in the church on Tuesday evenings you’ll hear a string orchestra and a flute choir rehearsing (they’re both ensembles of YOSA, the Youth Orchestras of San Antonio). If you are interested in using our worship space for a musical event, please contact the office.
